Welcome to my homepage. I am an associate professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, D.C. My areas of specialization include space security, air power, deterrence, and crisis decision-making. I have published articles in The Journal of Politics, Security Studies, The Washington Quarterly, and other academic journals. For 8 years, I have worked in professional military education. At SAIS, I am an instructor for the U.S. Space Force's Schriever and West Space Scholars programs. I previously held positions at the U.S. Army War College and the Air War College. I received a PhD in Political Science from UCLA and a BA in Political Economy from UC Berkeley.
